43.
It's just a number. However, in the light of my life and upcoming events, it is one of the most significant numbers of today. It's the number of days until I say, "I do" to my best friend. It is probably the biggest event that has ever happened in my life aside from accepting Christ into my life as a young child. I have so much excitement, anticipation, love, and joy for my wedding day and for the marriage that will last a lifetime. It is such a special blessing to be able to have found the man of my dreams; the man that God has blessed my life with.
Seth is an amazing, talented, and VERY handsome ;) fellow. He is so supportive, loving, and encouraging to me; I am amazed every day by how much commitment and love he has for me. Just this week he has been so helpful and had such a servants hearts for helping me and others in need! We started off the week helping my mom; Seth drove my mom around and we ran errands with her. I am so blessed to have a man that is so willing to, not only help me and serve my needs but, help my mom! Tuesday, a giant snow storm rolled around! This lead to a first experience at my new job: I made the executive decision to have a late start at my daycare--then I had to let everyone know via phone, facebook, and the news stations. Since we had a late start, Seth had breakfast with me and shoveled my car out of snow so I could drive away. Then, because my car can't take snow on hills (I got stuck on three different hills in a 4-block radius), Seth gave me his car to drive to work for the past three days. He is constantly willing to help me and make sure my needs are met. God's love and provision for me shines through Seth on a daily basis and that is why I am constantly amazed by Seth. He is a daily reminder of a wonderful God that loves us enough to put people into our lives to love us, care for us, and encourage us on a daily basis. Sometimes, I am so undeserving of God's love and Seth's love; I can be selfish and easily frustrated (especially now with so much stress from wedding planning). But Seth loves me despite my imperfections and despite my short-comings. I am grateful that he is my daily reminder of God's unconditional love for us, despite the fact we don't deserve the perfect love of our perfect Savior. So, forty three days. That is the count down to the beginning of a new adventure with the only person I would want to share it with. So, in the next 6 weeks, I am going to be trying so very hard to enjoy this last little bit of "singleness" and enjoy the journey of planning a wedding. I only get to plan one wedding, so I want to have fun! I am continuously telling myself that everything does not need to be planned RIGHT NOW and that even though everything has not gone how I dreamed my wedding day would be, in the end, I will be married! I will be joined as one for life with the person I hold dearest in this life.
